Accessibility Statement

Our commitment

We want everyone to be able to find a good deal on DealsSpy, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, voice control, screen magnification or other assistive technology. We aim for our website to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, and we treat accessibility problems as bugs to fix.

What we do

We design and test the site with these in mind:

  • A "Skip to main content" link, landmarks and one main heading per page, so pages can be navigated by heading and region.
  • Text labels for every control, including icon-only buttons such as save, search and the theme switch.
  • Full use with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator.
  • WCAG AA color contrast for text and controls, in both the light and dark themes.
  • Less animation when your device asks for reduced motion.
  • Layouts that reflow on small screens and when you zoom in.
  • Prices, discounts and deal status written out in text, not shown by color alone.

Known limitations

  • Deal images and descriptions come from retailers. Product images have a short text alternative, usually the deal title, which may not describe everything shown in the picture.
  • Store websites are run by the retailers. When you follow a deal, the accessibility of the store's site is outside our control.
  • Third-party features, such as the Cloudflare Turnstile check shown before your first deal vote and any ads, are provided by other companies and may not fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA.
  • Older pages may still use an earlier layout that we are updating.

Tell us about a problem

If something on DealsSpy is hard to use, or you need information from a page in a different format, email us at support@dealsspy.com with "Accessibility" in the subject. It helps to include:

  • the address (URL) of the page;
  • what you were trying to do and what went wrong;
  • the browser, device and any assistive technology you use.

We aim to reply within a few business days and will let you know how and when we plan to fix the problem.
